The Future of Rest: Understanding Adjustable Beds
As sleep technology advances, more people have become familiar with adjustable or electric beds - a type of frame that can be adjusted to different positions and angles to suit individual preferences and needs. These beds can provide various benefits for sleep health, comfort, and convenience and help with certain medical conditions, such as snoring, acid reflux, back pain, and more. Here at Progressive Bed, we put our expertise in linear motion technology into developing adjustable beds and other sleep solutions – ergonomic mattresses and bedroom accessories - to help you create your ideal sleep environment and improve your quality of life. In this article, we will look into the types and features of adjustable beds offered by Progressive Bed, as well as the mattress compatibility, customization options, purchase information, customer support, and the benefits of choosing an adjustable bed with us so you have extensive knowledge allowing you to make a smart buying decision.
Types and Features of Adjustable Beds
Progressive Bed’s lineup includes three types of adjustable beds: Drift Classic, Drift Pro, and Drift Elite, each type having different features and specifications to suit different budgets and needs. All models come in Twin XL or Queen sizes, and there is also an option for the Split King configuration that combines two Twin XL frames.
Drift Classic
This model is our basic and most affordable solution, ideal for those who want a simple and easy-to-use adjustable bed. It features a 9-button wireless remote control that allows you to independently adjust the head and leg sections of the bed, with a maximum angle of 60 degrees for the back-to-head adjustment and 40 degrees for the legs. You can also choose from three preset positions - flat, zero gravity, and anti-snore – and set two programmable positions. The Drift Classic boasts a quiet and smooth motor that ensures peaceful and comfortable movement, a sleek and modern design that fits any décor, and a durable and sturdy frame that supports up to 800 lbs, depending on the size and configuration of the bed.
Drift Pro
Besides the essential features of the Drift Classic, this mid-range model offers additional benefits, such as built-in under-bed LED lighting, a USB port on the side of the frame (one for the Twin XL and two for the Queen size), and a wireless remote with 13 buttons. The Drift Pro also has a massage function that can soothe your muscles and help you relax. You can choose from three intensity levels and two massage zones: back and leg.
Drift Elite
This frame is our most advanced and most luxurious model, suitable for those who want the ultimate user experience. You can adjust the head, leg, and neck sections of the bed independently, with the neck maximum angle of 50 degrees, the head section elevation of 60 degrees, and the leg part can be raised at 40 degrees at most. The Drift Elite is also equipped with a wall hugger, which ensures the Drift Elite stays stable while adjusting upward, allowing you to sit comfortably in one place and easily reach your nightstand without any difficulties. All bed models have a mattress retainer bar, and they are also compatible with headboard brackets and a Bluetooth dongle to control a bed through the Progressive Sleep smartphone app that can be sold separately. The adjustable bed frames are made from steel, and the bed base materials are polyurethane foam pad (95%) and environmentally friendly EPE (5%).
Mattress Compatibility and Recommendations
Mattress compatibility is one of the most important factors to consider when buying an adjustable bed. Not all mattresses are suitable for adjustable beds, as some may not bend or flex well with the frame movement, and some may also lose their shape, support, or comfort over time. Therefore, it is essential to choose a mattress that is compatible with your adjustable bed and can provide you with the best sleep experience.
